HOW TO USE

• Ensure timber is clean, dry and free from contamination
• Timber moisture content should not exceed 15%
• Sand smooth in the direction of the grain and remove all sanding dust
• Stir thoroughly before and during use
• Do not shake excessively
• Apply evenly along the grain using a clean brush, applicator pad or roller
• Pay particular attention to end grain and exposed timber areas
• Allow 3–4 hours drying between coats depending on weather conditions
• Apply 2–3 coats depending on timber porosity and exposure conditions
• Do not apply in wet conditions or below 5°C
• Avoid excessive surface build-up
• Ensure adequate ventilation during drying

Critical: Nova 24 is designed to protect timber against water absorption and moisture-related weathering, not to permanently preserve the original timber colour. Natural UV greying and colour change will occur over time on exterior timber surfaces. Nova 24 helps timber weather more evenly and naturally while maintaining water-repellent protection. Not suitable for permanently immersed surfaces or submerged marine applications.

Tip: Reapply a maintenance coat when water repellency begins to reduce. Regular maintenance helps maintain protection and minimise weathering of exposed timber.

HOW TO USE

• Ensure timber is clean, dry and free from contamination
• Timber moisture content should not exceed 12–14%
• Sand timber as required and remove all sanding dust
• Remove oil and grease contamination using a suitable cleaner or degreaser
• Stir thoroughly before and during use
• Apply evenly using a brush, applicator or soft broom
• Work the coating thoroughly into the timber surface
• Avoid pooling or excessive film build-up
• Apply 2–3 coats depending on timber porosity and desired finish
• Allow coating to dry clear before recoating
• Allow 2–3 hours between coats under normal conditions
• Ensure adequate ventilation during application and curing

For Maintenance Recoating:
• Clean the surface thoroughly
• Remove dirt, oils and contaminants
• Allow timber to dry fully
• Reapply a maintenance coat as required

Critical: Exterior timber exposed to sunlight and weather will naturally age over time. While the pigmented finish helps slow visible UV weathering and colour fading, Nova 25 is not designed to permanently prevent natural timber ageing. Regular maintenance coats are recommended to maintain water repellency, colour consistency and long-term coating performance. Not suitable for permanently immersed or submerged marine applications.

Tip: Unlike traditional varnishes, Nova 25 generally does not require heavy sanding before maintenance recoats provided the existing coating remains sound and well adhered.
