HOW TO USE

• Ensure timber is clean, dry and free from dust, grease and contamination
• Sand new timber smooth using 80–100 grit sandpaper and remove all dust
• Remove old coatings completely using Nova 08 Novastrip where required
• Ensure all previous sealers and finishes have been removed
• Stir thoroughly before use
• Apply a thin, even coat using a clean brush
• Apply only enough material to fill the timber grain and minor surface imperfections
• Allow approximately 2 hours drying before sanding
• Sand smooth using 160–240 grit sandpaper

For Highly Porous Timber:
• Apply additional light coats where required
• Allow drying between coats before sanding

Topcoating:
• Overcoat with Nova solvent-based or water-based timber finishes once sanding is complete

Critical: Nova 07 is a preparation product and not a final finish. It must always be overcoated with a suitable timber sealer, oil or varnish. Not suitable for previously painted, varnished or sealed surfaces unless fully stripped back to bare timber. Do not apply to damp timber.

Tip: Nova 07 is particularly effective on softwoods such as Pine where raised grain can affect the quality of the final finish. For stained timber, apply Nova 07 directly over Nova 18 Novadye before applying the final topcoat.

Heavy-Duty Paint & Varnish Stripper

HOW TO USE

• Ensure surfaces are free from loose dirt and excessive dust
• Stir thoroughly before use
• Product is supplied ready for use — do not dilute
• Work in manageable sections of approximately 1–2m² at a time
• Apply a liberal, even coat using a brush
• Allow the product to remain on the surface for approximately 5–10 minutes or until the coating softens, wrinkles or bubbles
• Remove loosened coating using a scraper, stiff brush or suitable stripping tool
• Repeat application where required for stubborn or multiple coating layers

After Stripping:
• Scrub thoroughly using warm soapy water and a stiff bristle brush
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water
• Allow the surface to dry completely before recoating

For Porous Surfaces:
• Timber, concrete and other porous surfaces must be cleaned with Nova 10 Wax Remover after stripping to remove any residual wax contamination before recoating

Critical: Nova 08 contains wax components that may affect adhesion of subsequent coatings if not properly removed. Always clean stripped porous surfaces with Nova 10 Wax Remover and ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from residue before applying new coatings. Not suitable for vinyl, soft plastics or fibreglass surfaces.

Tip: For heavily built-up coatings, apply a generous coat and cover the treated area with plastic sheeting during the dwell period. This helps slow solvent evaporation and can improve stripping performance. Paint-hardened brushes can also be restored by soaking in undiluted Nova 08 for 2–5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

Non-Slip Polymer Floor Polish

HOW TO USE

• Sweep thoroughly and remove all loose dirt and dust

Dilution Required:

• Dilute 25ml Nova 13 with 5 litres of clean water
• Mix thoroughly before application

Application:

• Apply using a squeegee or Nova applicator
• Apply a thin, even coat across the floor surface
• Do not rub excessively during application
• Allow approximately 30 minutes drying between coats
• Apply a second coat and allow to dry completely

Finishing:

• Once dry, buff by hand using a soft cloth or use a polishing machine to achieve the desired shine

Maintenance:

• Buff periodically to maintain shine
• Reapply approximately every 2–3 months as required

Critical: Nova 13 is designed for sealed interior hard surface floors only. It is not suitable for unsealed porous surfaces, damp floors or areas exposed to continuous wet conditions. Product must be diluted before use.

Tip: For new slate and quarry tile floors, first seal the surface with Nova 03 Slate ‘n Quarry Tile Dressing before applying Nova 13 to maximise shine and long-term appearance.
