Materials described by the same general name can differ significantly in formulation, surface energy, moisture content, plasticiser level, oil content, release agents and surface treatment. New or unfamiliar materials, components and production processes should therefore be assessed before full-scale manufacture. Performance requirements relating to structural bonding, thermal conductivity, fire behaviour, exterior durability, chemical resistance, abrasion, impact or installed-system performance must be confirmed for the selected polyurethane system and complete application.
