Shipping & Delivery Policy

Order Processing

All online orders received through Genkem Shop will be reviewed and processed within 1 business day following receipt of payment confirmation. Orders received after business hours, on weekends or on public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Dispatch

Orders will generally be dispatched within 1 to 2 business days, subject to stock availability and payment confirmation. Where stock transfers between branches are required, dispatch times may be extended. Customers will be notified where applicable.

Delivery

Genkem Shop utilises The Courier Guy as its primary delivery partner. Estimated delivery times after dispatch are:

  • Major metropolitan areas: 1 to 3 business days
  • Regional areas: 2 to 4 business days
  • Remote and outlying areas: 3 to 5 business days

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary due to courier operations, public holidays, weather conditions or circumstances beyond Genkem’s control.

Shipping Charges

Free delivery applies to all orders of R1,000 or more (including VAT). Orders below R1,000 (including VAT) will be subject to a flat delivery fee of R180 (including VAT) per order.

Heavy, Oversized or Bulk Orders

Certain products may exceed standard courier weight or size limitations. Examples include:

  • Large paint orders
  • Bulk adhesive orders
  • Palletised shipments
  • Industrial products
  • Oversized or hazardous goods

These orders may be shipped using approved third-party transport providers rather than standard courier services. Additional freight charges may apply depending on delivery location, order size and transport requirements. Customers will be advised and approval obtained prior to dispatch where additional charges are applicable.

Order Tracking

Customers will receive order confirmation and dispatch notifications via email. Tracking information will be provided once the order has been collected by the courier.

Delivery Area

Genkem Shop currently delivers throughout South Africa. Delivery to certain remote locations may be subject to extended lead times or additional freight charges.

International Orders

Genkem Shop currently focuses on deliveries within South Africa. Customers requiring delivery outside South Africa are requested to contact Genkem before placing an order. International shipping requirements, freight costs, duties, taxes and delivery lead times vary by destination and will be quoted on request.

Urgent Orders

Need your order urgently? Please contact our customer service team before placing your order. Depending on stock availability, order size and location, we may be able to offer:

  • Expedited dispatch options
  • Alternative delivery solutions
  • Collection from a Genkem branch where available
  • Third-party express freight services

Additional charges may apply. All expedited delivery arrangements are subject to stock availability and confirmation by Genkem.

Delivery Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all delivery information provided during checkout is accurate and complete. Additional charges may apply where deliveries need to be redirected or reattempted due to incorrect or incomplete delivery information.

Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Goods

Customers should inspect all deliveries upon receipt. Any damaged, missing or incorrect items must be reported to Genkem within 48 hours of delivery to enable investigation and resolution.
