HOW TO USE

Ensure timber is clean, dry and free from dust, grease and contamination
Sand new timber using 120–180 grit sandpaper and remove all dust
Remove old coatings using Nova 08 Novastrip where required
Stir thoroughly before and during use
Thin the first coat with up to 20% Mineral Turpentine to improve penetration into timber
Apply evenly following the timber grain direction
Apply subsequent coats undiluted using a quality brush or spray equipment
Allow a minimum of 8 hours between coats
Lightly sand between coats using 180–220 grit sandpaper
Remove all sanding dust before recoating
Allow 16–24 hours drying between coats for optimum gloss development
Apply a minimum of 2–3 coats depending on timber exposure and porosity
For spray application, thin with up to 20% Mineral Turpentine where required
Avoid excessive film build

Critical: Do not apply to damp timber, during rain or high humidity, or to timber intended for permanent water immersion. Not suitable for high-traffic decking applications. Nova 16 must not be applied over Nova 15 Timberseal Penetrating Oil.

Tip: For maximum durability on exterior timber, apply three full coats and pay particular attention to end grain and exposed timber edges.
