HOW TO USE
- Ensure timber is clean, dry and free from wax, grease and contamination
- Remove old coatings using Nova 08 Novastrip where required
- Sand timber smooth and remove all dust before coating
- Stir thoroughly before use
- Product is supplied ready to use and should not normally be diluted
- Apply a generous coat using a clean brush
- Work thoroughly into the timber, end grain and exposed edges
- Allow approximately 24 hours drying between coats
- Apply a second coat where required
Hardwood Application:
• Dense hardwoods such as Balau, Teak, Saligna, Meranti, IPE and Massaranduba may require additional coats
• For difficult hardwoods, an initial 50/50 blend of Nova 15 and Mineral Turpentine may be used to improve penetration
Critical: Do not apply to damp timber, during rain, in high humidity conditions or to timber intended for permanent water immersion. Not suitable for high-traffic decking applications.
Tip: Pre-treat timber with Nova 30 Timber Treatment & Preserver before sealing for improved long-term timber protection and termite resistance.
